Had a really good time at this event and first of all big thanks to all those at Santa Pod for the constant drying of the track to get us racing.
First run on the Saturday was just a shake down run as I had new spindles, and work done to the front beam so wanted to make sure that the car wouldgo straight, think it went through a 15.30 - wow!!
Next runs on the Saturday were a 13.7 and a 13.1. Was then asked by Claire of the Wild Bunch to give my dial in time so I thought a 13.08 sounded all right.
First run on the Sunday I decided to give it abit more revs of the line and pulled a 4 foot wheelie and nearly up onto one wheel kept me foot in it though but then it turned to the barrier so I had to come of it abit but not so much that it smashed me front end! So just feathered the throttle and brought it down nice and smooth and was straight into 2nd gear, ended up running a 11.77 at 113mph a best so far, a bit of a breakout.
Next run we lowered the wheelie bars abit but it still pulled a 18 inch wheelie but this time straight so stayed with it and it went through at 11.49 at 114mph but made a big move at top end, either wind or maybe abit of diesel from a truck?
Anyway I was well happy as I had a personal best with the car and still in one piece.
