We have put these instructions together to show you in easy steps how to change the float in your LPG tank.
The first is to run the vehicle completly out of gas. Then you will need to wire the solenoid
(removed from this picture) so that it can be connected to a 12 volt battery. Connect a 12 volt feed to the solenoid and then slowly lossen the nut that the gas pipe goes into until you hear a hising noise. Stand back at a safe distance and when the noise begins to die undo the nut a bit more. Once all gas is vented off diconnect the 12 volt feed and tighten the nut back up.
Now you need to completely remove the solenoide as it prevents you from removing the gauge. Take the apropriate alan key and remove all four alan screws.
If you can here LPG escaping from the tank then do these screws back up and repeat step 1 to vent off all of the gas.
When removing the gauge be very carful as you can damage the float and other parts.
Once the gauge is removed you can then change the parts the you needed to change. for example the float on the end of the arm.
Before refitting you need to fit a new gasket aroung the gauge as these are once only use. Clean the back of the gauge using a sharp blade and then place the the gasket on to the back.
Now you can replace the gauge (being carful not to damage it) and do up all four alan screws. Then replace the solenoide and wiring. Then you need to put a small amount of gas in the tank and leak test everything with gas leak tester.
